Morning Ballet Classes Spring 2013
Hello Homeschooling parents,
I am starting a morning Prep-Ballet class for Homeschoolers in the Denton area at a local ballet studio. I’ve had a lot of interest from parents of my students in our coops to continue ballet between our semesters. I am putting together an 8 week semester on Mondays at 10am that would start April 1 – May 20.
In this class we will be learning proper stretching techniques and basic ballet exercises to help develop proper aplomb, turn out and poise, as well as basic vocabulary, and more.
Kids that can follow basic instruction from 4 years to 10 are welcome. I am looking to see what kind of interest there is so I can place the kids accordingly. If we have siblings in different age groups, let’s say 4 and 8 (my own kids ages) and I have enough interest, I can put together 2 classes.
We have almost a month to put it together and I will be able to give you more details soon. Please, feel free to forward and let me know if you have any questions.
Looking forward to fun ballet time.
Sincerely,
Barbara

Ballet is a fun way to get your kids
moving. Ballet
is a form of dance that relies heavily on physical strength and agility, strong
concentration skills, an understanding of music and rhythm and a love of
movement. Instruction in ballet can provide numerous benefits for children of
all ages, regardless of their skill level. Instruction in classical ballet
provides students with an all-around education in art, music, and performance,
and history.
